Dr. Dan Baker will take you through his journey of over 20 years of research, and 30 years of experience validating advanced strength and power methods. This course will introduce the proven systems that Dan has uncovered through the application of bands, chains, clusters, complex training, functional isometrics and timed sets.  Dan is as much a scientist as he is a coach, and his teachings represent some of the best practices in applied strength and conditioning research.  Although Dan Baker is an incredibly intelligent researcher, he is also a coach’s coach with an impressive ability to simplify complex topics into digestible, entertaining lessons that can be applied directly into your programming.  This course will help you optimize the strength and power of each of your athletes.

Dr. Dan Baker is a world leading strength and conditioning coach in areas of expertise of strength, power, and specific conditioning.  In his 30 years as a strength and conditioning coach, he spent 19 years working in the national rugby league in Australia, helping to bring 4 national championships to the Brisbane Broncos.  During his time with the Broncos he was able to receive a doctorate in sports science, and is the president of the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association.  Dan Baker is considered to be one of the most sought after international speakers on strength and power.  EXOS is absolutely honored, and humbled to present Dr. Dan Baker’s Advanced Strength and Power methods.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the key benefits and training strategies for utilizing bands and chains to develop strength and power
  2. Apply these methods with great success into their programming, safely and effectively
  3. Distinguish between reps, sets, and loading strategies that will negatively influence power development, and those that will greatly improve upon it
  4. Apply advanced power training methods (complexes, clusters, functional isometrics, agonist-antagonist) and evidence based protocols with great success into their programming
  5. Demonstrate and coach individuals through each of the evidence based protocols presented by Dan Baker, and apply these insights to other aspects of their training system
